Hyderabad: KCR, Jagan to Skip Naidu’s Oath

It may be recalled that Naidu had telephoned KCR on June 2 and congratulated him for taking over as Chief Minister of Telangana and also invited him to attend his swearing-in ceremony though KCR did not extend a similar courtesy to him. Meanwhile, Naidu on Friday called on YSR Congress party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy on phone and invited him to attend the swearing-in ceremony at Guntur on June 8.

According to TDP sources, Naidu had called Jagan two or three times on Friday morning but Jagan did not take the call nor did he call back. As this news got flashed on various news channels, Jagan responded to Naidu’s call. Jagan thanked Naidu for inviting him and congratulated him for being elected as the first Chief Minister of the residuary state of AP. Party sources, however, said that Jagan might not attend the ceremony for obvious reasons, including his preoccupation with review meetings of the party’s electoral performance with his party leaders in Seemandhra districts.
