Hyderabad: Modugula Venugopala Reddy, a TDP MLA from Guntur West assembly constituency, On Thursday said that he had done his best to stop the state bifurcation bill in the Parliament as a parliamentarian. He expressed his concern that he was assured a ministry by Naidu himself but didn’t get any.
He addressed the media at lobby in the Andhra Pradesh state assembly and said that if Lagadapati might have used Pepper Spray in Lok Sabha three minutes before, the bifurcation bill could haven’t been passed. He said that Sonia Gandhi was committed strongly for passing the Telangana bill. Even if the bill could have been stopped then temporarily, it could have been passed ultimately, said Modugula.
