We already told you that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is planning to replicate the Amma canteen idea initiated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Chennai. Now, we hear that Chandrababu has already identified the regions to implement the pilot project.

According to a report, Anna Canteens will come up initiallt in Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The same will be eventually extended to other regions in the residuary Andhra Pradesh.
Although Amma canteens are thriving on selling Idly Sambar, a Tamil staple at Re 1, the Anna canteen menu will be something that will suit the tastes of Andhra people.
A delegation, led by civil supplies minister Paritala Sunitha did a study of Amma canteens in Tamil Nadu before coming up with a plan for AP.
