India is the future and thus it's important to take baby steps towards development, said Naidu in his Independence Day speech. He said he wanted to give equal importance to every region in the state.

"The state division did not take place in the right way, we are not sure of the capital city, where the officers will stay is unknown, we are not sure of the revenue to the state," said the TDP chief.

Being a Telugu, each one must give back to the motherland, he said.

Chandrababu assured that cases booked against those who took part in the Samaikyandhra movement will be withdrawn.

"The white paper on losses incurred due to the bifurcation of AP will be released tomorrow," said Chandrababu, promising to improve the living standards of the farming community. He also said that his government would be a responsive one. "It has been decided to waive off farmer loans up to Rs 1.5 lac," said the Andhra Pradesh chief minister.
