Hyderabad: Many villages along the banks of Krishna and Tungabhadra Rivers have received flood alert going on with the heavy inflow of water from Karnataka. The heavy inflow of water is continuing due to nonstop rains the region. Reportedly, officials have set up a control room in Kurnool to provide information about water level in the rivers and threat of flood to villages.
Srisailam Dam
The Srisailam dam is almost full with the attained present level of water which is at 884.90ft, whereas the maximum capacity of the dam is 885ft. The water level is at 884.90ft as of now. The inflow of water is at 1, 77, 000 cusecs while the outflow is 1, 63 000cusecs. As of now three gates have been opened to release the water to downside areas.
