Guntur: Multiplex centring collapses

Early on Wednesday, the centring of an under construction multiplex theatre at Chandramouli Nagar near Ring Road in Guntur at once collapsed. During this incident, nobody was present underneath the centring; else, there could have been a major loss of lives. As many as 20 casual labours are involved in the work, reportedly. According to sources, the iron rods used in the centring were not set properly which led to the collapse. More details in the matter are awaited.

The incidents wherein buildings are collapsed are on a rise. In the last couple of months such major incidents have been reported in New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai. There is a need to address such incidents which have been taking place purely due to the human error.
