Hyderabad: Tollwyood cine actors Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Prabhas, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun and Hathway chief Ch Rajasekhar have come forward to make liberal donations to the AP Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the victims of Hudhud cyclone which battered Andhra Pradesh coast on Sunday.

Pawan Kalyan announced Rs 50 lakh for the fund and said he would soon visit the cyclone-hit areas. “I will be personally visiting the affected areas soon to extend my support and solidarity,” he said. Pawan Kalyan, who floated a political party, Jana Sena, before elections in April this year, also appealed to his fans and supporters to step out and participate in the relief operations and do their best to bring in normalcy at the earliest. Pawan’s nephew Ram Charan was the first actor from Tollywood who announced monetary help for the relief fund.

“I declare Rs 10 lakh towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the victims of the cyclone and Rs 5 lakh to the Ramakrishna Mission. I request all my fans to extend their support to the people of Vishakhapatnam," Ram Charan told reporters here.

"The people of Visakhapatnam have supported my family and our films for many years. It becomes my responsibility to help them," he said.

Charan said he would also contribute lemon rice, water and medicines to the victims through his fans. His aunt Shobana will help him in distributing medicines to the needy. Another mega hero Allu Arjun announced Rs 20 lakh as his bit for the cyclone affected. He appealed to the government to spend a good amount from this sum for the fishing community who lost their livelihood.

Mahesh Babu donated Rs 25 lakh, NTR and Prabhas too donated Rs 20 lakh each while Krishna and wife Vijaya. Nirmala donated Rs 25 lakh. Producer’s Council, a film body of Film Chamber of Commerce, donated Rs 25 lakh.
