Tadepalligudem (West Godavari): Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao has directed the municipal officials to evolve a plan of action for the all-round development of Tadepalligudem municipality. Participating in the municipal council meeting here on Monday as chief guest, the minister said that Tadepalligudem municipality should be made a model civic body in Andhra Pradesh in infrastructure and civic amenities. Municipal councillors should personally oversee the execution of development works in their wards to ensure quality in works and their timely completion, he said.
Municipal Chairman Bolisetti Srinivas urged Narsapur MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju who was chief guest to strive for the development of the town by getting funds from the Centre. Responding to his plea, the MP said that all the municipalities in West Godavari district except Bhimavaram were facing resource crunch. He promised the council meeting to secure more funds sanctioned by the Centre for the municipalities in West Godavari under various development schemes. Municipal vice-chairman G Sridhar, Municipal Commissioner P Niranjan Reddy and other officials attended the meeting.
