Clothes, fruits donated to needy
NSS volunteers of UCEK, JNTUK here donated clothes and lunch boxes to the inmates of Mana Spoorthy Foundation orphanage in the town on the occasion of New Year on Thursday.

K Padma Raju, principal, UCEK and vice-principal P Subba Rao distributed blankets and fruits to the inmates of Sravana Old Age Home at Vakalapudi.
Padma Raju lauded the philanthropists for donating money. He commended the NSS students for organsing social service activities.
NSS officer M Ravindra Babu and NSS Coordinator K Srikumar coordinated the programme.
Gala New Year bash at Haailand
Guntur: New Year was celebrated on a grand note at Haailand Resort and Theme Park at Chinakakani in the district on Thursday. The entertainment programmes, musical concerts and dances by cine heroines enthralled the participants. The chefs prepared mouthwatering dishes for the gala event. Haailand vice-chairman and MD cut a cake to mark the event.
New Year fete at Brilliant Computers
Ongole (Prakasam): New Year celebrations were held on a grand note at Brilliant Computer Education institute in Ongole on Thursday.
Brilliant Computer Education chairman Nyamatulla Basha cut the cake and distributed it to the students. He wished that the New Year should usher in prosperity in the lives of everyone. Later, students participated in cultural activities. Teaching, non-teaching staff, students and others participated in the celebrations.
