Hyderabad: Despite adverse effects of bifurcation, the Andhra Pradesh government has achieved more than 80 per cent of the target set for January 31 in revenue earnings from the Stamps and Registrations Department for the year 2014-15.According to officials, the Revenue Department set a target of Rs 2,723.63 crore till January 31, 2015, of which Rs 2,197.74 crore (80.69 per cent) was achieved.

Guntur district was in the first place, exceeding the target by earning Rs 342.54 crore against the target of Rs 331.52 crore.Krishna and Anantapur districts were the next two top performers. The Stamps and Registrations Department earned Rs 398.49 crore (96.9 per cent) against the target of Rs 411.23 crore through sale of lands in Krishna district. Anantapur district earned Rs 93.84 crore against the target of Rs 115.65 crore (81.14 per cent). However, Krishna district was the highest revenue earner in absolute terms. The department earned revenue of Rs 411.23 crore.
