Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu plans to make a special appeal to Japanese industrialists on investment opportunities in the capital region. He will address the Japanese delegates tomorrow at a seminar on “Expanding Technology Cooperation for Smart Community in Andhra Pradesh” organized by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) and government of Japan.

The Chief Minister will elaborate on the government’s single-desk, 21-day clearance system and also talk about the smart technologies and the scope for establishing smart communities. The Chief Minister will highlight the opportunities for Japanese firms in solar, wind energy potential to attract investments in the renewable energy sector.

Hiroshi Kuniyoshi, Executive Director of NEDO and Ken Sasaji, Executive Director, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Government of Japan will deliver the welcome address.Later, Akio Isomata, Minister, Embassy of Japan in India will also address the gathering.

Dr. Hiroyuki Ishida, visiting Fellow, Institute of Energy Economics, Japan(IEEJ), Mr. Junichi Sono, Deputy Director of Kitakyushu city, Ms. Misaki Kaneko, Toyota city, Mr. Satoshi Kurimoto, Energy Specialist, South Asia Department, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and representatives from Fuji Electric, Hitachi, NEC Corporation, NTT Communications, THE Power Grid Solution, Toshiba, Bank of Tokyo, Hitachi Zosen Corporation, ITOCHU Corporation, NGK Insulators, Sumitomo Electric Industries, Shimizu Corporation and Toyota will be part of the seminar.
