IAS, IPS, IFS officers allotment finalized to Telangana, AP The Centre has finalized the distribution of IAS, IPS and IFS officers for the newly-formed state of Telangana and residuary Andhra Pradesh.

The Centre has finalized the distribution of IAS, IPS and IFS officers for the newly-formed state of Telangana and residuary Andhra Pradesh.


A gazette notification issued by the Centre stated Telangana cadre has got the allocation of a total of 133 officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 95 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) and 58 officers of Indian Forest Service (IFS) while 161 IAS officers, 116 IPS officers and 69 IFS officers have been given Andhra Pradesh cadre.


Led by former Central Vigilance Commissioner Pratyush Sinha, the six-member committee handled the recommendations based upon which the allocation of the three all India services officers is made.


Andhra Pradesh earlier had a total authorized strength of 376 IAS, 258 IPS and 149 IFS officers. A list issued by the Ministries of Personnel, Home and Environment mentioned batch, cadre and the names for IAS, IPS and IFS officers, respectively.
