Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh State Assembly is likely to witness acrimonious debate on Monday, when the main Opposition party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy will speak on the State budget for 2015-16 presented by Finance Minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu. The Monday’s session assumes significance in the backdrop of YS Jaganmohan Reddy throwing a challenge to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that he would ‘wash him out’, during his budget speech.

The remarks from the YSRCP chief had come following the ruling parties’ criticism that it was for the first time that an Opposition leader had failed to speak on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s speech. According to YSRCP legislators, there would not be any disturbance or interruption from their side, as their leader had taken it as a challenge to nail the government on the floor of the House with his budget speech.

However, if they ‘resorted to frequent interruptions of our leader’s speech, then we need to think otherwise,’ a YSRCP leader told to The Hans India. Meanwhile, several TDP senior members and Ministers pulled up their socks as Chandrababu Naidu expressed his disappointment over the role played by the ruling party members in taking on the YSRCP members on subject front.

He is understood to have asked even the Ministers to come prepared to the session on Monday and rebut the Opposition party’s remarks that the budget is only a gimmick of figures and the ruling party has been deceiving the farmers and DWACRA women in the name of loan wavier scheme as well as not fulfilling its electoral promises.
