Municipal engineers conducted a door-to-door verification of water taps and fixing of electric motors in Bondilipuram, Bankers’ Colony, Illisupuram, Balaga and other areas in the town on Tuesday. Responding to a news item published in these columns on March 29 regarding illegal fixing of electric motors to taps and unauthorised tap connections, Regional Joint Director (RJD), Visakhapatnam, P Asha Jyothi and joint collector and special officer Vivek Yadav
Srikakulam: Municipal engineers conducted a door-to-door verification of water taps and fixing of electric motors in Bondilipuram, Bankers’ Colony, Illisupuram, Balaga and other areas in the town on Tuesday. Responding to a news item published in these columns on March 29 regarding illegal fixing of electric motors to taps and unauthorised tap connections, Regional Joint Director (RJD), Visakhapatnam, P Asha Jyothi and joint collector and special officer Vivek Yadav, expressed serious concern over the illegal connections and directed engineers to remove them with immediate effect.
Basing on their directions, Municipal Engineer (ME) G.Venkateswara Rao conducted verifications along with his staff and directed the house owners to remove illegal motors. “We warned the house owners who fixed electric motors to taps and gave time to remove the motors. Otherwise, we will seize the tap connections,” said G Venkateswara.
