Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s new camp office in Vijayawada is all set to get a new look. The irrigation department building in the city where the chief minister would be present for three days from June 2 will be given a facelift with an estimated cost of Rs 10.26 crore. Funds to carry out the renovation of the building have been released by the government on Friday.

Following Naidu’s footsteps the Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Municipal and Urban Development Minister P Narayana and Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao who were overseeing the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) are also getting their offices renovated.
Other ministers too are expected to function from their camp offices by the end of June from Vijayawada. According to a senior official from the General Administration Department, the camp offices would be finalised after consulting each of the ministers. At present there were three places identified.
One building - Medha Towers, near airport needs a little renovation for setting up the camp offices. Another building belonging to marketing department is available near Acharya Nagarjuna University, and the third one is a private building, the official added.
