Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Jetti said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police (Anantapur range) B Balakrishna placed Tirupati CCS Inspector A Satyanarayana, Karvetinagaram Circle Inspector H Venkateswarlu and Vedurukuppam police station SI P Venkata Sudhakar Reddy under suspension with immediate effect on grounds of gross dereliction of duty, perfunctory investigation of land dispute cases and grave misconduct.
Tirupati urban SP Gopinath Jetti cautioned and warned the cops to go by the book of law and not take sides with regard to civil and criminal matters, especially land disputes. He said any such acts on the part of anyone would attract disciplinary action.
