The Chief Minister made it clear that he would function from his camp office here for three days in a week.

With the construction of CM camp office over and it being inaugurated, people are expecting that the city would emerge as a busiest administrative centre with the presence of CM in the city. Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has already started functioning from Irrigation office here. He is spending more days in the city than in joint capital Hyderabad. He also conducted several review meetings on irrigation from his camp office here.
Likewise, Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas announced that he would work from his camp office in Vijayawada. He is planning to open his office on the premises of NTR University of Health Sciences. Minister for Endowmetns P Manikyala Rao is planning to open his camp office at Durga Malleswara Swamy temple premises here. The endowments officials are yet to take a decision on the location of the camp office.
It is said several other ministers are also planning to function from here for three days in a week as the CM camp office was inaugurated and searching for buildings for their residence and camp office. Meanwhile, APSRTC Managing Director N Sambasiva Rao announced that MD camp office would be inaugurated at RTC bus station complex here by August 15.
He said that the RTC authorities started works for the construction of RTC MD and three executive directors’ offices at RTC bus station complex. The fire services department has already constructed a new building near police control room to set up its State level offices.
