Hyderabad: The Ministry of Municipal Administration and Urban Development is likely to shift all its important wings to the capital region soon in order to be in a state of preparedness to take up the works on the construction of new capital city once the foundation stone is laid.

This decision was taken on Sunday at the first meeting of the CRDA (Capital Region Development Agency) after the final master plan of the seed capital was submitted by Singapore government.

According to the MAUD Minister P Narayana, the Advisory Committee on the Capital City on Sunday decided to prepare an integrated action plan for the speedy completion of the construction of the city.

The committee felt that the lands acquired from the farmers for the capital construction should be developed and handed over to the beneficiaries. This will help the government to implement the action plan at a fast pace.

Narayana asked the committee members to monitor regularly the construction of the seed capital and held regular review meetings on the progress of the city. The committee members, B Mastan Rao, B Srinivas, M Prabhakar Rao and Ch Srinivas Raju, were present in the meeting.

The Minister also held a review meeting with his department officials and enquired about the progress in the implementation of Information Technology (IT) in the delivering civic services. Narayana wanted to bring transparency in delivering all services and make the MAUD a ‘paperless’ service organisation by using latest technology.
