TDP decries falsehoods against Pattiseema

Vijayawada: TDP State general secretary and Pamarru constituency in-charge Varla Ramaiah condemned the ‘false’ campaign by opposition parties against Pattiseema project. He said PCC president N Raghuveera Reddy and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had been alleging that Godavari districts will be deprived of water once the Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme is launched.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, the TDP leader said that the Godavari flood water above 14 feet would be lifted to Polavaram right main canal which connects Krishna river at Ibrahimpatnam. He advised the opposition leaders to visit the Pattiseema project along with Congress leaders to acquire knowledge on the project. He said Jagan had failed to visit Pattiseema project so far. Ramaiah pointed out that over 3,000 tmc ft of Godavari flood water is going waste every year.
