The latest newsmaker in TDP seems to be JC Diwakar Reddy. While all the TDP MPs are united in a stand, this MP begs to differ. It\'s known that several MPs have been claiming that they would resign as MPs if necessary to get special status for the state, JC indirectly hinted that these attempts will be for name sake.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu back in town and soon heading a meeting to discuss AP special status issue is old news. The latest newsmaker in TDP seems to be JC Diwakar Reddy. While all the TDP MPs are united in a stand, this MP begs to differ. It's known that several MPs have been claiming that they would resign as MPs if necessary to get special status for the state, JC indirectly hinted that these attempts will be for name sake.

Seemandhra MPs including Murali Mohan said that he would resign if necessary in a bid to exert pressure on the Centre to accord Special Status to the state as promised. But Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy has been clearly saying that Centre will not give special status to Andhra Pradesh. On Saturday, he said he had learnt that the Centre may not grant special status to AP after he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Home minister Rajnath Singh. He, however, said that the Central Government will give funds to the state.

His comments have raked up a controversy among the TDP MPs. Recently, when the TDP MPs staged a dharna at the Parliament premises on the special status issue, JC had made sensational comments saying these dharnas are just to please Pawan Kalyan. Has JC become a headache to the TDP MPs?
