Hyderabad: Under the ‘Make in India, Made in AP’ programme, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch the first Xiaomi-manufactured phone in India in Visakhapatnam on Monday. The programme will also see Xiaomi making an announcement about its India expansion plans.

Ahead of the programme, posting a picture of the hoarding, Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra said: "GOOD MORNING VIZAG! This is what you see as you walk out of the Visakhapatnam airport arrival terminal this weekend. We're about to take a huge step forward here in India.” Xiaomi, a Chinese low-cost smartphone manufacturer, is the third largest smartphone maker in the world, after Samsung and Apple.
