The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials, who are busy preparing work schedule on seed capital basing on Singapore master plan are facing several hurdles at the ground level. The Singapore team presented basic master plan without taking into consideration the existing villages and roads, so officials have to start almost from the scratch.

Vijayawada: The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials, who are busy preparing work schedule on seed capital basing on Singapore master plan are facing several hurdles at the ground level. The Singapore team presented basic master plan without taking into consideration the existing villages and roads, so officials have to start almost from the scratch.


This situation has forced the CRDA officials to take up a fresh survey at the seed capital region to link roads without disturbing the existing villages as there would be large scale unrest in the region if the officials proposed displacement of villages for roads. The officials are making hectic efforts to link the seed capital to Kanaka Durga Varadhi without disturbing the villages in the capital region as the National Highway connecting the Prakasam barrage is narrow.


According to CRDA sources, they are forced to work almost from the scratch to provide connectivity to seed capital. As the farmers are already in a agitation mood over government’s decision to initiate land acquisition, any fresh plan to disturb the existing villages and roads will result in unrest in the region. “No doubt the farmers will launch an agitation to stall the seed capital works,” officials said.
