TDP leaders misusing power, alleges Roja
Nagari YSRCP MLA RK Roja accused the ruling TDP leaders of misusing power to coerce her party activists who refused to toe their line. Addressing party activists at a private Kalyana Mandapam in Puttur, 40 km from here on Monday, the YSRCP leader charged the TDP of misusing police force against her supporters, citing the arrest of her close aid KJ Kumar in Nagari on Monday.

Exhorting the party activists not be afraid of such arm twisting tactics of the ruling party, she said that the party is organising a Maha Dharna in Nagari on August 19, protesting against the arrest of YSRCP activists at the behest of ruling party leaders. She said party MLAs, leaders and activists from across the district would participate in the dharna.
Sharply reacting to the remarks of senior TDP leader and MLC Muddu Krishnama Naidu that she failed to do anything to the constituency, since she was elected as MLA, Roja said it was he who was putting spoke into the development initiatives. She alleged that Muddu Krishnama Naidu used his clout and prevented sanction of funds for Puttur hospital development and also several other development works to tarnish her image and popularity.
She said that the YSRCP will take up the arrest of activists in Nagari to DGP and also to the Governor to restrain the ruling party from misusing its power.
