Abhayam: App to control ragging

A new app - 'Abhayam applications' was launched by the AP Director General of Police (DGP) JV Ramudu to protect the peace and security in the state.

Introducing the app, the DGP said that it will be most useful to women and the victims can send their complaints to this app. With the panic button available that can be used when the victim is not in a position to talk, information about the incident will immediately reach the nearest police station.

Suggesting officials to provide awareness about the app, Mr Ramudu said that with this app, they will put a check on ragging and can provide total security to women and girl students.
