Police on Friday announced a cash reward of Rs1 lakh for any information leading to the arrest of main accused in connection with the Chittoor mayor Anuradha couple's murder case.
Chintu alias Chandrasekhar, who is the prime accused in the case, is evading arrest. Chintu is a marine engineering graduate and was the nephew of deceased Anuradha. Some unconfirmed reports say that Chintu is already in police custody.
The first woman mayor of Chittoor, Katari Anuradha and her husband K. Mohan were killed in a pre-meditated attack at her office chambers in broad daylight on Tuesday. Soon after the incident, Chintu went into hiding and police launched a manhunt to nab him.
