Chittoor: District police sent a vehicle to Chennai with 10,000 food packets for flood victims on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police (SP) G Srinivas said that it is the need of the hour to extend helping hand to thousands of flood victims in Chennai.

Srinivas said district police personnel have come forward to extend support to flood victims by raising funds to prepare food. The SP said district police would contribute more funds to send relief material for flood victims.

TDP district secretary P Nani said that a party delegation would visit Chennai shortly to take part in the relief operations.
