Chittoor: Keeping in view the deteriorating education standards in Kuppam, the Chief Minister’s Assembly constituency, Isha Vidya, a pilot project, was launched in Kuppam in 2015. Isha Foundation is a pubic charitable trust working with a mission to impart quality education in the government schools.
Isha Vidhya, an Isha Education initiative of Isha Foundation, is committed to raise the level of education and literacy in rural areas and help disadvantaged children realise their full potential. The project seeks to ensure quality education for children in rural areas in order to create equal opportunities for all.
The Chief Minister after examining the advantages of Isha Vidya project has directed District Collector Siddarth Jain to have a tie up with Isha Foundation and entrusted 356 primary schools, 30 upper schools and 74 high schools covering 38,356 students.
It was agreed to remit Rs 1.40 crore per year to Isha Foundation towards its service in which the District Collector has to share Rs 75 lakh and the rest by Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. As per the agreement, the Isha Foundation has taken over all the government schools pertaining to Kuppam, Santhipuram, Gudipalli and Ramakuppam mandals to carry out the critical interventions in all the schools.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his recent visit to Kuppam has made surprise visits to the government schools and has agreed to extend the agreement with Isha Foundation for another two years.

Magic English was launched to enhance the skills in learning, speaking and reading in which 10,000 students trained by 200 teachers. Happy class training has been imparted to the teachers, she added.
The project officer made it clear that the several programmes were being initiated to improve overall efficiency in English skills to students with special comprehension and speaking skills.
The agreement with Isha Foundation will end by June 2016. It is subjected to extension for another two years after checking improvement in students in first year”, she added.
