The State government is committed to promote and develop Telugu language, culture and tradition by according top priority and as a part of it, the government began conducting the birth anniversaries of Telugu stalwarts including Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, Mahakavi Gurajada Appa Rao and NTR as State functions, remarked Minister for Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy.

After inaugurating the Telugu Tirunallu being organised by the founder of Paravastu Padya Peetham Paravastu Phanisayana Sarma here on Sunday along with HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Raghunatha Reddy informed that efforts were on to revive academies for Music, Arts, Culture and Literature to help bring the past glory of Telugu. Stating that there is no language which is so sweet as Telugu, he assured that the government will always be in the forefront of developing Telugu language and in organising literary programmes.

Reminding the inauguration of Telugu Museum atop Kailasagiri, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that very shortly, Vizag city will be turned into a cultural hub. A huge auditorium will be constructed in the city on the lines of Ravindra Bharati. Except, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, all other organisations were divided soon after the State bifurcation since Potti Sriramulu University was linked with Telugu culture and traditions, he opined.

Maha Sahasravadhani Garikapati Narasimha Rao complimenting the Telugu Tirunallu organisers, said the event was very thought provoking in the present era of western culture. Later, Chinnayasuri Puraskar was presented to Dr Bulusu Venkateswarlu. Children of Saraswati Kala Peetham welcomed the guests with a Telugu traditional song and among others, MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao and managing director of Vijay Nirman company S Vijay Kumar were present.
