Guntur: YSRCP spokesman Ambati Rambabu accused Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of accruing financial benefits to his loyalists in the Secretariat building project as well as awarding Singaporean sub-contracts and virtually looting the State exchequer.

Addressing newsmen at the party office here on Tuesday, Rambabu said that the Chief Minister's decision to pay Rs 5,000 per square foot to contractors of the Secretariat project at Amaravati Township in Mangalagiri was aimed at awarding the works to his henchmen.

“The rate fixed by the government to a builder is unprecedented and smacked off deliberate corruption to immensely benefit his party men,” he accused.

The YSRCP spokesperson alleged that the TDP members and its national general secretary Nara Lokesh floated construction companies in Singapore to bag sub-contracts of the capital building project.
“It is the Telugu people in Singapore who would be executing the capital building projects and the whole propaganda of using Singaporean expertise is a fraud being perpetuated on the State,” he alleged.
