Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the AP Cabinet has met on Wednesday at the camp office in Vijayawada where various issues including the hike in power charges, new mining policy, Janma Bhoomi, sanctioning of new ration case and other programmes were discussed.

Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the AP Cabinet has met on Wednesday at the camp office in Vijayawada where various issues including the hike in power charges, new mining policy, Janma Bhoomi, sanctioning of new ration case and other programmes were discussed.

The members of the Cabinet also held discussions on land allotment and the proposal to hike electricity charges as the power supply companies stressed on the increase of the charges in order to boost the revenue.

Taking some key decisions, AP Cabinet has also introduced new sand policy. The current sand policy was introduced in August 2014 where self-help groups were responsible for the management and delivery of sand to customers. But with the allegations rising against the Self Help groups, the policy has been cancelled and will be carried out by means of auctioning.
