Tirupati: CITU district secretary Gangaraju demanded the State government to pay Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the family of Venkata Subbamma (28), a construction labourer, who died of electric shock in the JNTU building which is under construction at Kalikiri. In a press release here on Friday, Gangaraju alleged that Venkata Subbamma died of electric shock on Wednesday due to the negligence of the site engineer. He sought the Labour department to take measures for payment of compensation to the victim’s family.
