254 acres acquired for industrial park

The State government has agreed to acquire 254 acres of land for the development of an Industrial Park at Rajayyapeta village, in Nakkapalli mandal of Visakhapatnam district. The Industrial Park was proposed as part of the Petroleum, Chemical, Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR), for which the government on Saturday agreed to pay a compensation of Rs 13.50 lakh per acre as part of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Package. The compensation would be excluding any structure and trees and the like, for which the government pays compensation separately.

However, the owners of the lands would not be entitled to any other compensation under the Land Acquisition, R&R Authority, any other compensations under the A P Right for Fair Compensation and Transparency in LA and R&R Act, 2013, the government said in its orders.
