Vishnu questioned for second day

Vijayawada: The special investigation team (SIT) probing into the spurious liquor case had continued questioning the former legislator Malladi Vishnu for the second day on Thursday.

Vishnu, one of the accused in the case, was questioned at Krishna Lanka police station by the SIT. When asked about his share from the revenue of the bar, for which Vishnu said he doesn’t get any share in profits.

It is reliably learnt that the former legislator had expressed his doubt on some miscreants contaminating the water , which led to deaths.

Meanwhile, the SIT officials have summoned the other accused to the Krishna Lanka police station to cross check the Vishnu’s version. However, the SIT officials are tightlipped on the proceedings of the investigation.
