Vijayawada: Veteran journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao inaugurated Gandhi Shilp Bazar, an exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts and textiles at Amma Kalyana Mandapam in the city on Friday.

The expo unveils a collection of government registered artisans’ work on textiles, clay and precious stones in more than 50 stalls.

Exquisite crafts like Pattachitra, silver filigree, pearl jewellery, glass jewellery, art metal works, lacquerware toys, Kondapalli toys, lac bangles, dhokra castling, Kalamkari, tie and dye, Tanjore paintings, woolen carpets, stone carving, pottery, Terracotta, original pearls were put on display.

Special Kerala cotton sarees, wooden carvings from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Rajasthan, clay and earthen ware from Rajasthan were a few attractions at the event.
