Blood donation camp to be held at Sunitha’s residence

Anantapur: Blood units of 30 to 50 are to be collected between January 18 and 20 during the donation drive at the residence of Minister Paritala Sunitha in connection with the 20th anniversary of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.

This was stated here on Saturday by the Minister while reviewing the arrangements to be made for the programme. The blood units would be secured in a donation camp. The collected blood would be handed over to the government medical college, Red Cross Society and the Rural Development Trust.

She said each blood donor would be extended Rs.1 lakh insurance policy by the Paritala Ravindra Memorial Trust. The insurance facility would be extended to those killed in accidents and victims of snake-bites and faction feuds. It would also be made applicable in cases depending on severity of the injuries. Sunitha stated that blood donors should carry Xerox copies of their Aadhaar cards and two passport photographs. She appealed to all admirers of Paritala Ravindra to make the blood donation programme successful. Among those present were Zilla Parishad Chairman Chaman Saab, Minister’s sons Paritala Sriram, Paritala Mahendra and Raptadu mandal convener Narayanaswamy.
