TDP, YSRCP members brawl
Proddatur: Mayhem and ruckus prevailed at municipal office, here on Thursday as TDP and YSRCP leaders and members brawled in the public over administration issues. Soon, the situation turned ugly and the police had to intervene to disperse both parties.
On Thursday morning, TDP leaders staged a dharna along with municipal staff in protest against YSRCP counselor Muralidhar Reddy, who allegedly slapped the town planning officer Siva Guru Murthy in commissioner’s chamber on Wednesday night for harassing his party supporters on the pretext of encroachments.
Meanwhile, YSRCP cadre led by MLA R Siva Prasad Reddy filed a complaint with DSP against TDP leaders for foisting false cases and came out as a rally to corporation.
