Dasari Narayana Rao put under house arrest
Film director Dasari Narayana Rao on Monday was waylaid by AP police and is kept under house arrest at the hotel in Rajahmundry where he is camping in order to obstruct him from meeting the Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham who is on a fast for the last four days demanding reservations to the Kapu community.

Speaking on the occasion, Dasari Narayana Rao said that he never thought he would have travel like a fugitive or a thief as had to travel close to 12 hours to reach Rajahmundry and now he is kept under house arrest. Criticizing the TDP government headed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for the highhanded behaviour, he said that problems need to be solved instead of increasing them and questioned whether they are living in a democracy or under a dictatorship.
