Anantapur: In all, 390 representations have been received as part of Mee Kosam–a public grievances redressal programme held here on Monday.

District Collector Kona Sasidhar asked the district officials to dispose of the representations received as part of Mee Kosam, SC and ST grievances redressal programme as early as possible. At mandal level, the officials should promptly present at the Mee Kosam by 9.30 am on Mondays. Those representations which could not be disposed of at mandal level, should be representated at the district level.

He asked them to ensure that the public would not have to make several rounds to government offices to get their grievances redressed. At mandal and divisional levels, acknowledgements for representations received should be given. He told them biometric system has been introduced to redress the grievances.

On the lines of charitable public providing food to applicants at district level, a similar programme should be encouraged at mandal level. As per directions of the Chief Secretary, all pending files—especially those pertaining to NREGS, housing, municipal administration, Panchayat Raj, DRDA and other government departments should be cleared immediately, he said.
