Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that Narasaraopet town would be developed as a satellite town as being nearest to Amaravati. He addressed a public meeting at Kotappakonda on Friday after laying foundation stones to various development works at a cost of Rs 20-crore and inaugurated Kapu Kalyana Mandapam at Kotappakonda.
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that Narasaraopet town would be developed as a satellite town as being nearest to Amaravati. He addressed a public meeting at Kotappakonda on Friday after laying foundation stones to various development works at a cost of Rs 20-crore and inaugurated Kapu Kalyana Mandapam at Kotappakonda.
Addressing a public meeting, he assured that he would extend his cooperation for the development of Kotappakoda and added that the State government is giving importance to develop tourism and temple tourism. He said that if developed Kotappakonda would attract more tourists. He said at present temple is earning Rs 7 crore revenue per year, in future, the temple would earn Rs 10 crore and more revenue. He urged the officials make arrangements for tourists’ accomodation. He said that if tourism is developed, indirectly it would generate more employment opportunities.
He said Tirupati, Srisailam, Srikalahasti,Kanipakam, temples are attracting more devotees and turned as temple tourism centres. Similarly, Kotappakonda would develop as temple tourism place. He further said that Amaravati–Bengaluru highway will be linked to Narasaraopet soon.
If an industrial unit was set up at a cost of Rs 25-lakh, it will generate employment opportunities to 10 to 15 persons. If the same amount is invested to develop, it will indirectly generate more employment opportunities.
He assured that he would develop roads in the State. After interacting with the girl students, who performed cultural programmes, he appreciated them. He expressed confidence that with the blessings ofTrikoteswaraswara Swamy in Kotappakonda, development would be expedited in the State.
He appreciated Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao and Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao for constructing more toilets in the Assembly constituencies.
He reminded that in spite of financial crisis, he waived the crop loans and loans given to SHG women.
Earlier, the Chief Minister performed pujas to Trikoteswara Swamy and visited the temple. He distributed Rs 83.37 crore loans to 58,000 members of SHGs.
Earlier, he inaugurated Kapu Kalyana Mandapam and assured that the Kapu community would be included in the BC list without doing injustice to BCs and keep up his election promise.
Deputy home minister Chinarajappa, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Prattipati Pulla Rao were among those participated in the programme.
