The All India Students Federation announced Chalo Parliament on March 15, demanding to lift cases slapped against JNU student Kanhaiah Kumar. The AISF State president Mahankali Subba Rao accused that the BJP-led NDA government is killing democracy and is branding a person, who speaks against as anti-national.

“The Union government must protect right to speech and reinstall the peaceful atmosphere in the universities across the country. The government is trying to saffronise the universities by instilling Hindutva in the students and branding those people who speak against them as anti-nationals,” he said.

The AISF also demanded suspension of Ministers, who are involved in Rohith Vemula case. “We are going to organise a protest in front of Parliament on March 15, along with other student organisations. We request support from all democratic organizations,” Subba Rao said
