Kapus plan survey of community
Kapus under the leadership of Mudragada Padmanabham on Thursday decided to take up a survey and collect village-wise statistics of the community and their economic conditions in the state. A decision in this regard was taken after a daylong meeting Mudragada had with leaders of the Kapu community who had actively participated in the Kapu Simha Garjana on January 31 at Tuni.
Kirlampudi: Kapus under the leadership of Mudragada Padmanabham on Thursday decided to take up a survey and collect village-wise statistics of the community and their economic conditions in the state. A decision in this regard was taken after a daylong meeting Mudragada had with leaders of the Kapu community who had actively participated in the Kapu Simha Garjana on January 31 at Tuni.
It has been decided that the activists belonging to Kapu, Balija, Vontari, Telaga will form into groups and will collect the details.These groups will involve local Kapu leaders and collect details in the prescribed format. The format which is being finalised and will have colums like whether they are employees or agriculturists, agriculture labour, daily-wage earner, mason, carpenter, besides financial and education status.
The survey report will be submitted to the Manjunatha Committee. Apart from Mudragada, Kapu leaders Akula Ramakrishna, Nalla Vishnu, Areti Prakash, Vasireddy Yesudasu and Basava Prabhakara Rao attended the meet.
