Anantapur: The message of Good Friday is the essence of Christianity and Christ's sacrificial death on the Calvary's Cross 2016 years down the line for a wayward world is the crux of the God's redemption mission to planet earth, observed Most Reverend Raghunath Daniel, a noted senior Pastor and Evangelist at a Pre-Good Friday address at the Agape Calvary Church, here on Thursday.

Releasing the text of Good Friday message, Rev Raghunath stated that Good Friday like Christmas is an occasion for celebration as God in the incarnation of Christ had descended to planet Earth laying a highway from Earth to Heaven. Human beings no longer need to search for Mukti, salvation of the soul or try new spiritual feats to attain Moksha.

A tainted soul that needs salvation simply needs to trust Christ as the saviour of their soul. Jesus Christ's simple way to salvation had won international acclaim, acceptance and wide adherents to the message of Christ worldwide, Raghunath added.

Jesus offered clarity in his teachings and he taught as no one ever in history taught. He prayed that his detractors, who were responsible for his crucifixion should be forgiven saying “Father, forgive them for they know not what they were doing”. He taught “love your enemies and do good to them that persecute you”. Good Friday is good for humanity as a lasting solution to the problem of sin and redemption of soul, had been unveiled.

The Reverend emphasised that one can experience a transition from darkness to light and from death to eternal life. He appealed to the believers to make the world a better place to live by their exemplary lives. In a world of violence and animosity, the message of Christ is the only beacon of hope.
