Rape accused arrested
A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a differently-abled woman, said One Town SI Rambabu. According to sources, the accused Appanapalli Venkataramana of Amudala Appalaswamy Colony raped his house owner’s daughter on Friday. The victim is a 33-year-old differently-abled woman.

The incident took place when the victim’s mother went outside. After returning home, the victim narrated the incident to her mother. Immediately, both the victim and her mother lodged a complaint with One Town police station. The accused was allegedly absconding after the police registered a case of rape against him.
Following the complaint, One Town SI Rambabu took up investigation and took the accused into custody on Saturday. The SI said that local residents played an important role in the arrest.
