Kakinada: Several students of Aditya Academy secured the first rank in the 2016 Intermediate examination results declared on Tuesday. The students included K Vijayalakshmi, who got 466 out of 470 marks in the MPC stream in the first year.

Out of total 440 marks in the BPC stream, V V Madhuri secured 434 marks. In MEC, V Bhargavi and Ch Manikanta got 488 out of 500 marks, bagging the first rank. The other students who did well were l Divya Lalitha (MPC, 987/1000), the highest marks in the district, and T Hemanayani (BPC, 965/1000) and Naga Meghana (MEC, 965/1000).

Head of Aditya Educational Institutions N Sesha Reddy and Secretary N K Deepak Reddy, Vice-chairman N Satish Reddy, Junior College Coordinator K Lakshmikumar, Directors S V Raghava Reddy, S P Gangi Reddy and IIT Principal J Moina congratulated the rankers.
Principals of the respective colleges in other centres also hailed the success achieved by the students.
