Urs-E-Shareef of Hazrath Kale Mastan Dargah from Apr 24
The 124th Urs-E-Shareef of Hazrath Kale Shah Mastan Wali Baba will kick start on April 24 and continue till April 28 at the Mastan Vali Dargah at Nagarampalem in Guntur. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Dargah trustee Ravi Rammohan Rao said that all arrangements have been put in place for the smooth conduct of the 5-day celebrations.
Vijayawada: The 124th Urs-E-Shareef of Hazrath Kale Shah Mastan Wali Baba will kick start on April 24 and continue till April 28 at the Mastan Vali Dargah at Nagarampalem in Guntur. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Dargah trustee Ravi Rammohan Rao said that all arrangements have been put in place for the smooth conduct of the 5-day celebrations.
Over the years, the celebrations have been a symbol of communal harmony with families joining in worship at the Dargah. The highlight of the five-day celebrations is a colorful procession called ‘Chandal’ by Fakirs who walk through the main roads of the town. The procession starts at 10 pm on Sunday from an old house in which the Baba was stated to have lived during his times.
Accompanied by folk artistes, the Fakirs will begin the procession after offering prayers at the Holy Chair in Kannavarithota. They reach the Dargah and offer prayers at the Holy Cot, he said.
