YSRCP legislator Chand Basha of Kadiri in Anantapur district on Saturday joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking on the occasion, Chand Basha said the reason he chose to quit YSRCP and join TDP is mainly to develop his constituency. Stating that he is impressed with development works being undertaken by Chandrababu Naidu, the legislator stated that if the Chief Minister receives support from the public, the development works would move at a faster pace which is the reason he is supporting him.

He further observed that the development would go on a faster pace only under the ruling party regime. Chandrababu too addressed the media on the occasion and stated that the Opposition has always stalled the development works planned by TDP and now with the YSRCP legislators joining the ruling party indicates that people are looking for development rather than some waste arguments.
