Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) in association with Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Student Federation of India (SFI) has organised a seminar on Career Guidance at the MB Vignan Vedika here on Tuesday. Students who completed Intermediate education were addressed about the available options and various disciplines they can choose from.
Speaking on the occasion, district president of JVV, Thummala Sree Kumar who is also a placement officer at Andhra Loyola College elaborated on the wide disciplines that one can chose to pursue and explore opportunities in the off-beat service sector.
Nursing, Management, Commerce, Accounts, Environment Sciences, Law, Library Science, Social work, Psychology, Teacher Education, Vocational Courses were a few of them which Sree Kumar elaborated on. During his speech, he insisted that students should pursue their interests and acquire adequate skills that their course demands, in order to succeed.
MBVK Programme committee convener KSC Bose said that they have organised a free RRB coaching camp for the aspirants earlier and have been offering free training in computer courses such as MS Office, DTP etc.
“The aim of the seminar is to enable the students from rural and backward classes to learn about the courses that will enable them win an opportunity'', he added. DYFI district president Madhav, SFI district secretary Mahesh and others spoke on the occasion.
