Gala fest to mark two years of BJP rule

Kakinada: The East Godavari BJP unit will organise two-week long celebrations to mark the second anniversary of the party in the Centre, from May 26 to June 10. Addressing media persons here on Sunday, president of BJP district unit Yenimireddy Malakondayya said that the celebrations will include a public meeting which will be addressed by Union Minister Ravishankar Prasad.

He said that the Central government sanctioned projects worth Rs 12,015 crore to the district in the last two years. “These include, the dredging project at Antarvedi in Konaseemna at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore, NH 16 development with Rs 2,000 crore, besides LNG offshore terminal at Kakinada at a cost of Rs 1,750 crore,” he said.
