Vijayawada: TDP State president K Kala Venkata Rao said that 27 resolutions including 14 relating to AP, 8 of Telangana and five common resolutions would be introduced at Mahanadu to be held at Tirupati.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday, he said coming to AP, special status, assurances in AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, eradication of poverty, Neeru-Pragati, drought mitigation, development of Amaravati, agriculture, irrigation projects, infrastructure development, smart villages, development of human resources, priority for education and health, law and order, industries, corruption-free State, transparency, Opposition party’s criticism and political resolutions would be discussed. Coming to two States, homage to NTR, 35 years of TDP, welfare of party activists, training, TDP role at national level and Krishna Pushkaralu would be discussed, he added.

The TDP State president said the TDP has been giving priority for Kapu community right from NTR rule. He said that the Congress party failed to protect the interests of Kapus during its 10-year rule. He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu constituted a committee to include Kapus in BC list. He said YSR Congress leaders have a tie up with Mudragada and appealed to Mudragada not to create hurdles for welfare of Kapu community. Venkata Rao said the Congress leaders are trying hard for their existence and Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been dreaming of coming to power.

He said the Opposition leader failed to speak on development programmes in Assembly. He said that YSR Congress MLAs are fed up with the attitude of Jagan and deserting the party.
