Kurnool: Police are searching for former Kodumur MLA Murali Krishna, who is at large, in a call money case. A case was registered against him in II town police station. The police have nabbed 8 members in connection with the case and sent them to judicial custody.

According to II town Circle Inspector (CI) Mulkanna, a person by name Uma Maheshwarappa of Venkataramana Colony had taken loan of Rs 8 Lakh from Radha Reddy and Ayyanna Goud and Rajagopal stood as surety for the loan. Radha and Ayyanna have been exerting pressure on Uma Maheshwarappa to repay borrowed money. Maheshwarappa asked them to give him some time as he was not in a position to repay entire money at a time. But, they insisted Maheshwarappa to clear loan immediately. The CI said they forcibly entered the house of Maheshwarapa and took signatures on some agreement deeds, documents besides promissory note.

Meanwhile, Radha and Ayyanna have sought the help of Murali Krishna. On the directions of former MLA, a six-member gang forcibly confined Maheshwarappa and Rajagopal to their houses at Venkataramana Colony. On credible information, the CI said that the police nabbed Radha Reddy, Ayyanna Goud and six others. All the 8 members were taken into police custody and a case under various sections has been registered against them based on the complaint of Maheshwarappa.

Police have produced all the accused in the court and sent them to judicial custody. The CI said that they launched hunt to nab Murali Krishna. Recently, Murali Krishna had joined YSRCP.
